This morning I spent some time again working with insurance to address the car repairs. Fun stuff. The rest of our day was spent with me working on house projects while the kids played. The tv was on all day but not with movies or cartoons playing. I had the classical music channel playing on low in the background. I do that quite a bit during the day. The kids played with their Legos and made new creations the entire day upstairs. They never watched TV. I believe one of them asked to watch a cartoon but I said “no”. Their long time of free play allowed them to let their creativity flow. Do you think you and your children could go an entire day without them sitting in front of the TV or computer? Try and see if you can and watch what they do (and say:)
We did discuss what to do in an emergency. For example, what if I fell off of the tall ladder while I was painting and needed help. They knew to call 911. Thankfully, they didn’t have to!
Off to paint some more. I’m slowly making my way to the basement to work on the future schoolroom. I haven’t been to the gym in several days but hopefully moving a giant ladder around by myself will count for something!
