Today was consumed with party preparations for tonight’s dinner party that I hosted. My son’s soccer team and their families came over, so it was organized chaos for several hours. Great fun, though. There were holiday games with prizes for the adults. This group including myself is quite the competitive crowd, so there was no mercy shown for incorrect answers. The kids sang the Twelve Days of Christmas, and we enjoyed good food and drinks in between. In addition to the party madness, my husband drove my oldest son back into NYC for the day for more auditions. We seem to be frequenting the city quite often now which I love!

Tomorrow brings back the reality of academics. I’m looking forward to what I hope includes several days of uninterrupted studies. Good thing it’s now 2 in the morning, and I haven’t lesson planned. Double-dose of caffeine will be needed.
