I remember why I don’t shop

Academics were abbreviated today. I had a salon appointment in the afternoon to get my roots touched up, and then I spent the evening shopping at TJMaxx for summer travel clothes. I’ve never had great luck at TJMaxx, so it’s not a typical stop for me. But I decided to give it a try to see if I could find some unique pieces at bargain prices. I believe I tried on around 50 pieces of clothing. The process seemed to take forever. The looking and changing of clothes. I shopped until closing time and only purchased a Calvin Klein cotton knit dress for everyday wear. I was thinking to myself as I was shopping how much time I felt like I was wasting and what else I could be doing with those minutes. I do enjoy a nice wardrobe, and admittedly I prefer quality to quantity. That usually equates to a higher price tag. For example, I’d rather have one Louis bag than 5 less-expensive handbags. I’d rather have one pair of Chanel shoes than 8 pairs of cheaper priced shoes. I just can’t seem to be any other way with my shopping sprees. Next time (which is who knows when) I’ll take my daughter with me. Even at a young age, she’s much better at fashion than I am.
This is me below in the dressing room with a giant stack of clothes. Who has time for this? I need a personal shopper!
